Noireplume Community Guidelines

What are the guidelines?

They are a set of rules based on Polish law and on the values and principles that Noireplume stands for. They cover every part of using the site: from the texts and images you publish, to comments and reviews, to taking part in our community.

Each section covers a different area. Together, they make up the guidelines we follow ourselves as creators, and we ask you to follow them too.

General rules (from our Terms and Conditions)

Our golden rule: if a book could sit on a bookshop shelf, it belongs on Noireplume. If it couldn’t, we’re not the right place for it.

Age requirements:

  • By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
  • If we find out that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will block and delete it.
  • All works published on the site must be suitable for readers aged 16 and over.
  • If you suspect that someone under 16 is using the site, please let the admin team know.
  • Users aged 16–17 may use the site in line with the Terms and Conditions, with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Privacy, copyright, advertising and spam:

Content is not allowed if it:

  • infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights (e.g. copying someone else’s work, or publishing a translation without the original author’s permission);
  • violates other people’s personal rights, such as their privacy, image or reputation;
  • reveals personal data without consent;
  • contains hate speech, threats or offensive content;
  • promotes violence, discrimination or illegal activity;
  • contains spam or advertising for external services;
  • contains viruses, malware or anything else that could disrupt the site.

Please note: noireplume.com is still in beta, so you may run into bugs! Please report them and we’ll do our best to fix them as quickly as possible.
